Today I’m going to share a few highlights from one of my favorite weddings of 2021! Miriam and Apolonio’s wedding at Fiesta Mexicana Banquet Hall in Los Angeles was a long time coming! These high-school sweethearts had been engaged for a couple of years already before the pandemic caused them to reschedule the big day multiple times!
Together, we navigated the changes and they were finally able to have their dream wedding in October of 2021. It was truly an honor to witness and document this wonderful day!
Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding:

I absolutely loved the detail on Miriam’s Mia Solano bridal gown! In addition to the beautiful beading and lace, there was a subtle crisscross pattern that was so unique!

Mom helped to put on the finishing touches!

Apolonio had sent over a card to share a few words with his bride to be on their wedding day. If you’re planning your wedding, I highly recommend considering this tradition as part of your plan. It’s a fantastic way to share a few thoughts with your Fiance(e) and it makes for super cute photos/video!!

Once Miriam was all dressed and ready, it was time to do the big reveal with her bridesmaids. “No Peeking ladies!” … Their reactions were priceless!

After the bridesmaids go a peek, Miriam also planned to have a first look with her dad! I love it when we can schedule in a few minutes to do a first look with parents/grandparents because it’s great to be able to record their reaction as a keepsake for the couple!

Miriam chose to have an all-white bouquet of roses with just a hint of greenery mixed in. It was a very classic and elegant look for a bridal bouquet!

As a keepsake, and way to honor her grandfather, Miriam included an adorable accessory to her bouquet with a photo of them together on one side and a phrase “Siempre a tu todo.” on the other. Such a cute and personalized tribute!

While I was busy photographing Miriam and her bridesmaids, my second shooter was over at the groom’s getting ready location to capture all the details and tell the story of Apolonio getting ready! I love it when we are able to photograph both perspectives of the morning, I feel it tells a much more well-rounded story and makes for fantastic album spreads!

The wedding ceremony was held at Maria Regina Catholic Church in Glendale. The crowd looked on with anticipation as Miriam and her father made their entrance down the aisle. The big moment had finally arrived!

After the ceremony, we drove a few blocks over to Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach to take photos with the couple and the bridal party.

Oh, Miriam! You are fierce girl! ðð

I love a good under the veil shot, don’t you?

Miriam and Apolonio hosted their wedding reception at the Fiesta Mexicana Banquet Hall in Bell, CA. Guests were greeted by a sign-in table that allowed them to sign a Jenga piece for a unique keepsake that the couple could remember their wedding day with!
They chose gold and white decor that matched well with the venue’s warm-toned decor. Each table was topped with beautiful white floral centerpieces that included roses and white hydrangeas.

Father-daughter dances always get me a little misty-eyed. Sooo sweet!

You know it’s a great party when it ends with the bride and groom being swept off their feet (literally!) on the dance floor!

And finally, the cake! Yum!
