Recently I shared a super cute family portrait session that featured maternity photos for one of my past wedding clients. Well, I'm pleased to share that the newest addition to their family has arrived and we have photographed Part two of their family portrait series. I'm so excited to share it with you today!
Dustin is really artistic and loves to design and create sets. He wanted to incorporate something special for this session, so he made the CUTEST little tent with a sign "Boys only!" because with two little boys now, it's just kind of necessary that they have a cool place to hang out! 😂 What cool dad, right?
Since portrait sessions can be a little overwhelming for little kids, I work with my clients to plan sessions that fit their children's needs and attention span. Any parent knows that getting a toddler to sit still for a long period of time is impossible, so we made sure to alternate shots between fun and interactive candid moments and bargained our way through the posed pictures with snack breaks and more fun time as an incentive. It definitely helps to keep the little ones engaged and excited, while also telling a more complete and authentic story for the final display of wall portraits or in an album.
Here are a few of my favorite highlights from these Long Beach Family Portraits:
