Japanese American Cultural and Community Center wedding ceremony in James Irvine Japanese garden

About Japanese American Cultural & Community Center

The Japanese American Cultural and Community Center opened in Little Toyko in 1980 and was founded with the vision that the site would be home to a celebration of Japanese and Japanese American culture, art, and tradition. Since then, the space has hosted countless community-produced events, performances, and exhibitions.

Wedding Ceremonies at JACCC

Wedding ceremonies at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center are hosted in the James Irvine Japanese Garden. This gorgeous outdoor haven has a capacity for 30-55 guests. A 170-foot stream flows throughout the space. The stone pathways that run throughout the garden, allow for couples to get married at an elevated spot where all the guests can have a great view as you say "I do."

Wedding Receptions at JACCC

Wedding receptions are held in the Toshizo Watanabe Culinary Cultural Center Event Space. It's a large banquet room space with really cool light fixtures (they remind me of glowing jellyfish). Two sides of the room feature large glass doors that open to the outdoor space, which is great for having an open-air feel and allowing guests to flow from space to space during your event.

Bridal Suite

JACCC has a modest bridal suite on-site that makes it a convenient place to put on the finishing touches before you head down the aisle. It also gives you and your bridal party a secure place to store personal belongings during the event. The room features a vanity space, wall hooks (great for hanging your gown), a large ottoman, and two of the walls are floor-to-ceiling mirrors.

Services & Costs

JACCC offers couples the option to use their catering and bar or bring in your own.

Ceremony costs start at $2500 and Receptions start at $5950. Site fees include access to the bridal suite, tables, chairs, and setup.
