This majestic property featuring gorgeous Renaissance-style architecture was first built in 1927 for the Ebell Women’s Club and has since hosted countless high-class weddings and events. Wedding Ceremony & Reception Spaces
There are four primary spaces available for events at the Ebell and all are absolutely beautiful. If you’re planning to have both your ceremony and wedding reception at The Ebell Los Angeles, you have the option to rent out the entire first floor for your event. This is great because it gives you access to multiple spaces that allow your guests to flow from space to space for the duration of your event. If you happen to be hosting a cocktail-style-only event, you can fit as many as 1300 guests throughout this lower level.
The Garden is a large outdoor courtyard that’s situated between the Art Salon and the Dining room. It features a large lawn and an elegant fountain at its centerpointe. This space can fit up to 400 guests cocktail-style or 180 guests for a ceremony-style setup.
The Art Salon entrance is at one end of the Garden. This 2,142 square foot space features 18-foot ceilings and can comfortably fit between 100-180 guests. From the Art Salon, you can access the iconic Lounge area that I’ll discuss next.
The Lounge is a 2,576 square foot space that can host between 170 and 320 guests depending upon the style and layout of your event. The 21-foot gilded ceilings create an old-world majestic feeling that will elevate the style of your event. Large wrought iron chandeliers hang spanning the room, giving a warm glow to the space. At the back of the room, you’ll find an elegant stairwell that leads up to the second floor and the mezzanine that runs along one side of the room. This mezzanine space is a great opportunity for your photography team to get some shots of your event from above!
Last, but certainly not least, is the Dining room. The Dining room is located at almost the opposite end of the venue, off from another side of the Garden. The first time I entered this room all I could say was “Wow!” as I admired the beautifully carved archways along the garden entrance side of the room. This space is the largest, boasting 3,300 square feet of ballroom space, and features 20 a foot ceiling and a second-floor green room that overlooks the garden. The room also has a large stage at one end, in case you’d like to have performers during your event. The Dining room can comfortably host between 200 and 400 guests depending on the style and layout of your event.
Bridal Suite & Other Venue Features
If you’re considering hosting your wedding at Ebell Club Los Angeles you’ll be happy to know that there is a spacious bridal suite at the venue where you can get ready before the ceremony. This is super helpful if you don’t live close to the venue and don’t want to worry about the additional expense of a hotel suite. The bridal suite is furnished and the decor mirrors the same renaissance style as the rest of the venue, so it’s great for having a consistent style in your wedding photos. The room also has arched windowed doors that give you access to a small balcony and allow for natural light into the room. Last, the bridal suite has a bathroom inside so you and your bridesmaids don’t need to wander out of the suite (and risk being seen before the big moment) if you need to use the restroom, wash your hands, or check a mirror.
Ebell of Los Angeles offers in-house catering and bar services to ensure that you and your guests have a high-class culinary experience during your event. You’ll work along with their expert culinary team to select a menu that best suits your wedding and dietary needs. There is a $15k food and beverage minimum and you can estimate a cost of around $116 per person.

To host a wedding here, you are required to have a wedding planner or coordinator on-site during your event. As a wedding photographer, I can tell you that this is ideal anyway to ensure that your event is well organized and runs smoothly.
A great, but maybe less talked about feature of this venue is the amount of parking available. Here in the Los Angeles area, it can be tricky to find a great historic venue that also has great parking. Ebell has two lots and a bunch of street parking out front. It may seem like a small thing, but trust me, your guest and vendors alike will be thankful for it!
The Ebell is surrounded by a cozy neighborhood so there is a midnight curfew for events hosted here.
