I’ve probably said this before, but I love it when I get a chance to second shoot from time to time because it gives me the opportunity to shoot from angles I wouldn’t normally be able to without the pressure of being the primary photographer responsible for the day. A while back I shot for Gary Coelho Photography on this stunning Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding and I wanted to share some of the highlights of the day from the images that I took.
A little about the venue: Hummingbird Nest Ranch is an absolutely gorgeous event venue, a true hidden gem, tucked away in the Santa Susana Mountains (about 25 minutes or so North-West of Los Angeles). It features a beautiful Spanish Style Villa and a variety of luxurious outdoor spaces with stunning views that are perfect for hosing all sizes of events, from intimate soirees all the way up to 1,000 guests.
The couple chose to keep the details classic and glamorous. Blush roses, white hydrangeas, and lush greenery graced each tabletop. The beautiful details perfectly decorated the reception space without taking too much attention away from the breathtaking view!
When it was time for the grand entrance, the couple came down the elegant stairway of the villa along with some incredible samba dancers to entertain the guests! It quite an epic show!
At the end of the night, all of the guests gathered around for one last photo to celebrate. The crowd gathered up rose petals, we counted to three, and they tossed them into the air as everyone cheered! Such a great way to end the night and get some epic photos!
