A little over a month ago I met up with the Miranda family at Griffith Observatory in Hollywood for their family portrait session. We spent the afternoon exploring the grounds, taking turns telling silly jokes and creating fun images for their home.
At the end of the session we worked our way down the hill and took a few more images from a nearby look out spot where you could see the observatory from a distance.
Griffith Observatory is a nice place for family photos because it's all white exterior makes a great reflector of natural light, so that you get bright, beautiful photos during your session. I also love the iconic art deco doorways and unique architecture that this location provides. It's also a great place for the family to enjoy an outing that's both fun and educational! While this location does require a bit of planning ahead, it can make for some great family portraits!

One of the things I love about Griffith Observatory is that you can get great portraits from almost any angle! The observatory itself has great architecture and style, but the incredible view of Los Angeles and Hollywood makes for a breathtaking backgrop as well! I find I often get great images with a beautiful sky from this location too!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed these Griffith Observatory family portraits!
