Jackie & Leia | Huntington Beach Portraits

A couple weeks ago I met up with Jackie and her adorable wheaten terrier, Leia, at a park in Huntington Beach. This was my first time working with a pet other than my own, so I was a little unsure of what the outcome would be, but I welcomed the new challenge.

I know for me, my pets are like my kids so it’s really important to me to have a few good photos of them. It was so much fun being able to give this to someone else by way of my photography. Jackie and her furry baby are so cute together!

Like small children, pets are not always easy to photograph. Treats and a couple of their favorite toys, along with patience, go a long way in helping them to go along with the process. We pulled out a tennis ball and made sure to give Leia some fun in between pictures so she didn’t get bored.
