This year I participated in my first photographic competition and I'm excited to finally announce the results! Since this was a first try for me at competition I decided to get my feet wet by entering just two of my favorite bridal portraits from the 2021 season.
I'm elated to share that BOTH images were accepted into the Merit Collection of PPA's (Professional Photographers of America) 2022 International Photographic Competition (IPC). The images will be on display at the upcoming Imaging USA photography convention that will be held January 22-24, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee.
For the IPC, a panel of 36 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from over 5,000 total submitted entries. Judged against a standard of excellence, 2,211 images were selected for the Merit Collection and 1,013 (roughly 20 percent) were selected for the esteemed Imaging Excellence Collection.
Titled "Anticipation" and "Finishing Touches," my two entries will be in the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition and traveling special invitational displays. These images constitute one of the world's largest annual exhibits of professional photography gathered together in one place.
